2pm: Dr. Young's remarks, followed by a dialogue with Dr. Sean Metzger, Professor at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, 2026 Guggenheim Fellow, and Visiting Scholar at Harvard

Dr. Young is Vice President for the Arts ad interim and Dean Emeritus of the College of Fine Arts at Boston University. He is Professor of English and Theatre Arts with affiliate appointments in American Studies and African American & Black Diaspora Studies. He is a 2026 Guggenheim Fellow, and the author/editor of ten books, including Theatre & Race (Bloomsbury, 2026) and Theater and Human Flourishing (Oxford, 2023).

Interpolations 2026 is funded by the Doris Duke Foundation and WashU's Incubator for Transdisciplinary Futures.
